Boy Scouts of America Prepared for Life

Building Character & Leadership

Troop 5749 is committed to the personal development and leadership of our Scouts. We also place a high value on helping our communities and other local organizations through regular service and Eagle Scout projects.

Welcome

We typically have several events each year to welcome new girls to our troop. Can’t make an event? No problem, you are welcome to attend one of our meetings–just reach out and let us know you are coming. The Scouts BSA program is open to girls 11 – 17 years of age. They can also join if they have earned the Cub Scout Arrow of Light.

Troop 5749

Founded on 2/1/2019 (The day Scouts BSA opened up to girls), Troop 5749 is now one of the largest and most active Scouts BSA troop for Girls in Chief Seattle Council. Troop 5749 is dedicated to offering the same great Scouting experience and year-round program to girls in our community that boys have enjoyed for over 100 years. We are a “linked troop” associated with Troop 571. In a linked troop, there is a troop for girls and a troop for boys. Both troops are chartered by the Kiwanis Club of Issaquah. To learn more about what a “linked troop” is, watch this video.

Troop 5749 has its own separate Scoutmaster, membership, meetings, youth leadership, and patrols, but shares a common troop committee, meeting facility, and meeting times (Mondays at 7pm).  While Troop 5749 has its own activities, it also shares some of the same activities as Troop 571 so that families with girls and boys can have everyone involved.

If fun, adventure, leadership, and friendship would interest your daughter or you are interested in helping out with this program or have questions, please contact us for more information.

The Program
