Camping

Troop 5749 has an active outdoor program and plans at least one overnight outing each month. We actively participate in Alpine District events such as Webelos Woods and Klondike Derby, as well as our own Troop campouts to locations such as Birch Bay State Park and other locations in Western Washington. In addition, there might be day outings such as hikes, bike rides, shooting sports, or whitewater rafting, for a few examples.  

The Troop also has a history of participating in BSA’s National High Adventure programs, such as Philmont and Sea Base. Our Troop has participated in two Cavalcade treks (2023 and 2025) and one 12-day backpacking trek (2024) at Philmont, and one Sea Base trek (2023.)
