Eagle Scouts

What is an Eagle Scout?

The Eagle Scout Rank is the highest rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program. The title of “Eagle Scout” is held for life, thus giving rise to the phrase “Once an Eagle, always an Eagle”. An Eagle Scout always carried with it a special significance, not only in Scouting but also in higher education, business, and in the community.

Not every scout who joins a Scout troop earns the Eagle Scout rank. Only around 4 percent of all scouts who enter scouting become an Eagle Scout. This represents only 2 million Scouts who have earned the rank since 1911, thus making is a very exclusive accomplishment.

The goals of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness—remain an important of these Scouts for the rest of their lives.

Troop 5749 is thrilled to start our scouts on the journey to Eagle and continue the success of it’s linked Troop in mentoring over a hundred scouts in this achievement.

Troop 5749 is Proud to Honor It’s Eagle Scouts

Congratulations!
